We offer the finest luxury vacation rentals throughout Florida's Panhandle. A DAY IN THE LIFE The Electrical Helper (Apprentice) supports experienced electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while developing practical trade skills. Responsibilities include preparing work areas, organizing tools and materials, pulling wire, assisting with installations, maintaining a clean and safe jobsite, and following instructions and safety procedures. This position is ideal for a dependable, motivated individual who wants hands-on experience, professional training, and an opportunity to build a career in the electrical trade. Work is performed under appropriate supervision and within the employee's training and authorization level. Duties and Responsibilities The following are the duties and responsibilities that you will have the opportunity to train on in the field with our accomplished electricians.Assist with service on residential and commercial electrical work as well as new construction.Help electricians to install, maintain and repair wiring, helping to replace electrical circuit-breaker panels, switches and resistors.Assist electricians to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install electrical elements in a domestic environment.Travel to job sites within the service area and assist the electrician to maintain communication with dispatchers and your manager to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.Willingness to pursue, develop and participate in continuing education.Receive training on local electrical codes with the ability to apply them in a pragmatic manner on each job.Work with inspectors, suppliers, and co-workers to make sure work is being performed correctly and within code requirements.Help test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Assist with maintaining good working order of Company vehicle.
