Full-Time Paraprofessional - Springfield, IL

Hourly Rate: $17.15- $18.80

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Our mission is to provide the best services in the most inclusive environments to encourage persons to fulfill their individual potential through evidence-based treatment, advocacy, and community education.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 19 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Hold or attain a Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois.
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s license.
  • Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
  • Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
  • Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
  • Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.

WHAT WE PREFER

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Classroom setting experience.
