You as a Groundskeeper (Contract) will:

  • Perform daytoday exterior grounds care to ensure all properties are safe, clean, and wellmaintained
  • Support seasonal landscaping tasks including lawn care, horticulture, litter control, and minor exterior repairs
  • Perform lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and aerating.
  • Maintain garden beds: planting, weeding, cultivation, mulching, and pruning.
  • Assist with seasonal flower installations and ongoing horticultural upkeep.
  • Remove debris, leaves, branches, and litter from all exterior grounds.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, cleanliness issues, or landscape deficiencies.
  • Maintain walkways, courtyards, parking areas, and exterior common spaces.
  • Ensure safe operation of grounds equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Operate grounds equipment such as Zero Turn mowers, gas & battery operated trimmers, blowers, and other small machinery.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report mechanical issues promptly.
  • Ensure tools and materials are stored safely and securely.
  • Assist with small exterior repairs (e.g., fence repairs, minor excavation, soil/topdressing work).
  • Support preparation for seasonal events or onsite activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Grounds Supervisor and other team members.

    Is this the right role for you?

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or horticulture (preferred).
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Physically able to lift, bend, and perform manual labour tasks.
    • Experience operating grounds equipment is an asset.
    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
    • Valid driver's license is required.
    • You are open to working from July to October on a contract basis. 
    • The salary range for this role is $20.00/hr-$26.00/hr
