Position Purpose
Create authentic learning experiences for multilingual students utilizing appropriate methods and strategies. Implement effective curriculum, instruction, assessment, and evaluation in all content areas to support and create access to Tier 1 content area knowledge by developing students' English Language Proficiency.
Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver appropriate instruction that follows developed and approved courses of study
  • Develop effective instructional methodologies and assessments that focus on State standards
  • Maintain appropriate and accurate student records and lesson plans
  • Establish and maintain appropriate communications with colleagues, students and parents
  • Participate in new learning related to English Language Development practices
  • Administer and certify in administering state tests related to English development.
  • Willingness to commit to an extra-curricular activity as assigned.

Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
