Job Summary:
Masimo Wearables is seeking a Senior Engineer, AI/Machine Learning to join their R&D team focused on next-generation health monitoring devices. The role involves designing and developing AI and ML models for biomedical applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and analyzing data for critical medical insights.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and develop AI and ML models to solve complex problems
โ€ข Develop new advanced algorithms using, machine learning techniques, deep learning models, digital signal processing techniques, optimization and numerical modeling in MATLAB, Python or similar software
โ€ข Responsible for algorithm design, development, implementation, testing, and documentation for Biomedical Signal Processing systems
โ€ข Design, train and evaluate machine learning models using large datasets in the cloud
โ€ข Prototype new ideas/technologies to create proof of concept and demos
โ€ข Contribute to the organizationโ€™s strong drive to be on the cutting edge of technology through the generation of patentable ideas
โ€ข Work with cross-functional teams in the R&D group, including hardware and software engineers
โ€ข Effectively communicate with engineering and marketing teams
โ€ข Design clinical studies to collect physiological data from human subjects, perform data collection and analysis of physiological data
โ€ข Carry out statistical analysis of clinical data
โ€ข Implement physiological parameter measurement algorithms on embedded systems
โ€ข Deliver high quality software design, documentation and implementation
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข At least 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, statistical signal processing, and deep learning techniques, optimization methods, and numerical modeling within the medical device industry
โ€ข Algorithm development experience using machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, etc., and deep learning techniques using neural networks, CNN, RNN, etc.
โ€ข Expertise in data analysis and data mining
โ€ข Experience with machine learning libraries and modern frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensor flow, Keras, scikit-learn, etc.
โ€ข Strong programming skills in MATLAB/Python/C/C++ and exposure to software engineering methods
โ€ข Familiarity with DSP architecture and embedded systems
โ€ข Exposure to DSP Programming
โ€ข Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
โ€ข Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field required
Preferred:
โ€ข Understanding of human physiology and exposure to designing clinical protocols are preferred
โ€ข Prior experience in application of AI/ML and signal processing techniques tools to bio-medical signals is a plus
