Job description

Are you a reliable Machine Operator candidate with experience seeking a new opportunity? This full-time, temp-to-hire machine operator opportunity with an Innovative plastic and metal Manufacturer could be a great fit for you. 
This company is well-known for producing efficient products in the plastic molding field.   They produce  as all sort of knobs and handles.
They’re looking for someone with your skills and experience to join their team. Your hard work will not go unnoticed, you'll enjoy growing within the company, expanding your skills, and further developing your strengths.
 
Machine Operating Duties:
  1. Perform molding operations using standardized methods and procedures.
  2. Fill mold cavities with powder or preforms.
  3. Operate controls to:
    1. Close the mold by pressing designated buttons.
    2. Cure parts for a predetermined time (typically 1 to 5 minutes).
    3. Open the mold and remove parts.
  4. Clean molds of castings and flash using an air gun.
  5. Visually inspect products and repeat the cycle as needed.
  6. Place inserts or pins into molds before loading powder or preforms, as required.
  7. Use core pins to set molds and reuse them for each cycle.
 
Schedule: 
  1. 2nd Shift 
  2. Monday to Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm (overtime based on production needs) 
 
Pay:
  1. $19.00/hr 
Machine Operating Requirements:
  1. Previous metal manufacturing experience preferred.
  2. Follow standard quality procedures when provided.
  3. Visually inspect parts for defects according to quality standards.
  4. Identify opportunities for improvement in material waste, scrap, cosmetic defects, and/or process efficiency.
  5. Recommend, implement, and support improvements in cycle time.
  6. Willing to perform additional duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
  7. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Basic math skills.
