About the Opportunity


We're seeking an experienced Machine Builder / Mechanical Technician to join a growing team that designs and builds custom automated machinery. This is a hands-on position responsible for assembling, wiring, troubleshooting, testing, and installing custom automation equipment from the ground up.

What You'll Do


  • Assemble custom automated machinery from mechanical drawings, engineering prints, and assembly documentation
  • Install, wire, and integrate mechanical and electrical components including motors, sensors, actuators, conveyors, and other automation equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams, hydraulic drawings, and technical documentation
  • Build, align, and fit precision mechanical assemblies to engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot and debug mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems during machine startup and testing
  • Perform mechanical fitting, fabrication, and light welding as needed
  • Test and inspect completed machinery to ensure quality and proper functionality before shipment
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to improve machine performance and assembly efficiency
  • Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and service automation equipment
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety procedures


What You Bring


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in machine building, automation assembly, mechanical assembly, or industrial equipment manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience building custom machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and precision measuring instruments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check


Travel & Schedule


  • Full-time position
  • Overtime available as needed
  • Up to 50% travel for customer installations and service
  • Typical travel assignments range from 3 to 7 days
