ABOUT THE ROLE

The digital drinkware operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of digital printing equipment used to decorate drinkware items. This role ensures the highest quality prints while maintaining production efficiency, cleanliness, and safety standards.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Hourly: $17.50

Monday - Friday, full-time, non-exempt - 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm)

Onsite: 202 Hyatt Street -- Gaffney, SC 29341

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Independently set up and operate digital printing machines for drinkware decoration
  • Work closely with the art team to ensure proper alignment, color settings, and resolution when needed
  • Perform Daily, Weekly, and Quarterly PM of Digital Equipment
  • Troubleshooting of equipment to pr5event downtime
  • Perform Daily Nozzle Check
  • Monitor print quality and make real-time adjustments to settings as needed.
  • Ability to assist with machine setup and troubleshoot for other machines.
  • Adjusts as necessary to ensure smooth operation of machines.
  • Ability to assist other members of the department to make adjustment as well.
  • Produces quality pieces with image properly aligned and with quality imprint.
  • Identifies quality defects and adjusts machine as necessary to correct.
  • Provides troubleshooting to identify and correct causes of machine failure or breakdown.
  • Communicate with maintenance team members and machinery providers in order to troubleshoot/train on equipment.
  • Breaks down and/or changes over machine at end of job run.
  • Provides essential information regarding specific job to next operator at shift change.
  • Properly report production quantities and track orders electronically through our computer system (scans).
  • Provide troubleshooting support to other operators
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, color consistency, and defects
  • Ensure that staff maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist personnel as needed to meet daily production requirements
  • Review reports and gather information to determine daily and weekly production requirements
  • Make recommendations for equipment/process improvements
  • Properly uses all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and works in a safe manner.
  • Follow safety and cleanliness protocols in the work area
  • Meet daily production goals and communicate any delays or quality issues with supervisor
  • Immediately notify Line/Floor supervisors of any issues that would prevent on-time delivery to customer.
  • Ability to read, interpret and take standard and metric measurements.
  • Pack product into carton, inspection of product
  • Record keeping, housekeeping area for cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned by management

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in digital printing or similar production environments preferred
  • Must be a team player, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Basic Computer skills and familiarity with print control systems a plus
  • Excellent eye/hand coordination
  • Adobe Illustrator Knowledge a Plus
  • Knowledge of CMYK(4CP)
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to effectively convey ideas and information to others.
  • Ability to count accurately.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a range of practical problems.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Flexibility with work schedule; available to work overtime.
  • Must be able to consistently stand, walk, stoop, climb, bend, lift material or equipment that may be heavy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
