Part-Time Sales Representative / Sales Specialist


Company: ThinkByte Studio

Location: Remote / Hampton Roads preferred

Position Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Minimum 2 days per week, 4 hours per day

Compensation: Hourly pay plus commission

ThinkByte Studio provides business technology support for small businesses, with a focus on Apple, Windows, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, web hosting, open-source business tools, and practical IT support. We help companies improve their technology, reduce downtime, strengthen security, and make better use of the systems they already rely on.


We are looking for a motivated Part-Time Sales Representative / Sales Specialist to help us connect with local businesses, introduce our services, and schedule qualified conversations with decision-makers.


Position Overview

The Sales Representative will be responsible for reaching out to businesses, identifying potential technology needs, and introducing ThinkByte Studio’s services to key contacts such as Operations Managers, IT Directors, Office Managers, and Business Owners.


This is a great opportunity for someone interested in sales, technology, business development, or IT services. Paid training will be provided, including sales techniques, service knowledge, and basic training on macOS, Windows, iPhone, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other business technology platforms.


Prior sales experience is a plus, but not required. Some knowledge of Mac, iPhone, Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or general business technology is also a plus but again not required. 


Responsibilities

The Sales Representative may assist with:

  • Making outbound calls to local businesses.
  • Reaching out to Operations Managers, IT Directors, Office Managers, and Business Owners and positioning what we can offer them in regards to services.
  • Explaining how ThinkByte Studio can help businesses with IT support, Apple support, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, web hosting, open-source tools, and technology planning.
  • Researching local businesses before outreach.
  • Finding the right decision-maker within each company.
  • Asking discovery questions about current IT challenges, technology pain points, support needs, and business goals.
  • Scheduling appointments, consultations, or follow-up calls.
  • Updating records with lead details, notes, call results, and follow-up tasks.
  • Sending follow-up emails after calls.
  • Tracking call outcomes.
  • Following up with warm leads.
  • Reconnecting with older prospects.
  • Helping maintain and organize prospect lists.
  • Helping prepare proposal notes.
  • Participating in paid training sessions on sales, business technology, and company services.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • A professional and friendly phone presence.
  • Comfort speaking with business owners, managers, and decision-makers.
  • Willing to learn more about technology.
  • Reliability and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to make outbound calls and follow up.
  • Sales, customer service, retail, call center, or business development experience is a plus.


Requirements

  • Must be available at least 2 days per week for 4 hours each day.
  • Must own a working laptop or desktop computer, doesn't matter the age.
  • Must have internet access.
  • Must be able to participate in paid training.
  • Must be comfortable using email, and apps.
  • Must be professional when communicating with businesses.


Compensation

This position includes hourly pay plus commission.


We offer a strong commission opportunity of 20% on qualified closed sales, in addition to hourly pay.

Commission details, eligibility, payment timing, and account requirements will be explained during onboarding and included in the written compensation policy.

Equipment Benefit

Employees are expected to use their own computer when starting the position.

After 6 months of successful employment, eligible employees may be issued a company Mac for work use. After 3 years of continuous service, the employee may become eligible to keep the device, subject to company policy, device condition, and final written approval.

Limited personal use may be permitted as long as it does not interfere with work duties, violate company policy, or compromise company or client data.
