Job description

Our front desk veterinary assistants will utilize trained medical knowledge to work at front desk. As a front desk veterinary assistant, you will work closely with the medical staff as well as the daycare and boarding staff in an effort to provide quality medical care for our patients as well as resort care for our kennel guests. Olentangy Premier Pet Care will be open 7 days a week for medical care and other services. As a veterinary assistant, you will be working with clients over the services we provide for their canine and feline family members. No prior training is required, but a candidate must be a compassionate, fast learner, love animals, work well with people (both in a team environment and with customers), self motivated and hard working. Furthermore, candidates will be required to learn some medical knowledge (vaccinations, etc.) and must be able to multi-task (handling multiple customers, etc.). All staff is cross-trained at boarding to minimize holiday impact on any one staff member. We have full-time and part-time positions available. Hours will typically be between 7am and 8pm M-F, 8-4pm Sa and 1-6pm Su. (However, these may very depending on business needs and the fact that we are starting up.)

After all, we are advocates for those that can't speak, and we do our best to provide high quality medical care, grooming, and resort accommodations (daycare and boarding) while being sensitive to customer boundaries. Our management works extremely hard to provide a safe nurturing environment for our clients, guests and employees. We have high expectations of employees in order to maintain those commitments.
