Job Summary
RV Resort Managers are responsible for the operational & continued profitability of the resort & serve as the day to day point of contact for guests and residents. They are responsible for administrative activities, marketing, leasing & home sales of new and pre-owned homes, property maintenance, budgeting & most importantly resident & guest relations
Job Duties
  • Ensures guests & residents receive the highest levels of service consistent with Sun’s Customer Service philosophy (Essential)
  • Handles resident & guest complaints in a timely & professional manner, communicating through a variety of means (Essential)
  • Manages the rent collection process, including collecting, posting & depositing income from leasing of rental sites. Ensures bad debt is submitted to collections (Essential)
  • Handles delinquencies & approves eviction proceedings while adhering to Sun’s policies (Essential)
  • Reviews residency applications & approves or denies residency (Essential)
  • Ensures compliance of policies designed to increase team member safety. Submits workers’ compensation accident & incident reports on a timely basis (Essential)
  • Reports deficiencies which would adversely affect the operation of the resort to the RVP (Essential)
  • Enforces resort rules & regulations (Essential)
  • Ensures compliance with federal state & local agencies that regulate fair housing laws & resort operations (Essential)
  • Ensures that overall resort appearance is well maintained & groomed to Sun’s curb appeal standards (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Monitors, codes & approves all invoices for operating expenses & sales related costs. Maintains petty cash & activity accounts
  • Consults RVP to determine the best course of action in the event a question or situation does not have an established guideline
  • Oversees & accounts for balancing of RV income nightly. Signs off on bank deposits and forwards RV income report to Main Office
  • Inspects & recommends purchase & renovation of used/repossessed homes.
  • Markets models, pre-owned & brokered homes for sale. Prepares documents to list and sell homes
  • Identifies & prepares sites for Sun Homes models. Coordinates with maintenance team to ensure vacant sites are prepared for home move-ins
  • Assists RVP with developing a marketing strategy & maintaining effective advertising to attract prospective guests
  • Assists RVP with preparation of annual operating budget. Provides accurate data to assist in capital expenditure & expansion budget needs
  • Reviews monthly property accounting reports and compiles reports for the Accounting department. Prepares monthly explanation of P&L variances
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 2 years in property management/resort experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience (Required)
  • 6 months in previous sales and leasing experience (Preferred)
  • 6 months in experience with NetSuite (Preferred)
  • General knowledge of property maintenance
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to fair housing and employment law
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, the internet and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
  • Ability to live on-site within the resort (housing provided), if applicable
  • Must have a valid driver's license
