  • Location: Hybrid (85% - 90% Remote; candidates should ideally be located near the DMV area)
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break)

Overview

  • Work with a prominent organization within the corporate healthcare space as a Reporting Analyst. In this role, you will act as a foundational data partner responsible for executing business-critical reporting cycles and supporting a major corporate migration from legacy claims platforms to a modernized system. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a data-savvy professional who thrives on transforming raw technical data into meaningful business insights, balancing modern query tools with legacy systems to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the core month-end reporting cycle from the 1st through the 15th of each month, ensuring seamless data distribution to internal and external groups.
  • Write and execute Tier 1 through Tier 3 SQL queries within SQL Server Management Studio to extract and isolate complex datasets.
  • Manage, track, and fulfill general to Tier 2 ad-hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders, troubleshooting missing data parameters with patience and professionalism.
  • Utilize a blend of modern and legacy systems including MS Excel, MS Access, and the Luminex platform employing creative workarounds to ensure data continuity.
  • Review all generated reports rigorously to maintain an elite standard of data accuracy, protecting the integrity of member and provider analytics.
  • Maintain a highly dependable remote work presence, utilizing robust home connectivity to securely handle sensitive corporate reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional data analytics or financial reporting experience (or a total of 8 years of relevant data experience if working in lieu of a Bachelor's degree).
  • Strong proficiency in writing foundational to complex SQL queries within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Excel and legacy database engines, specifically MS Access, to build, clean, and export reports.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a proven ability to interface with internal business teams to gather reporting requirements.
  • Must have a dedicated, secure home office infrastructure that ensures data privacy and reliable connectivity (public workspaces are prohibited due to data handling compliance).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior background in the healthcare, provider, or medical claims space, with familiarity handling member or eligibility data.
  • Technical exposure to alternate insurance industries (such as auto insurance) or the banking sector.
  • Baseline exposure to legacy third-party administrator (TPA) software or the Luminex claims platform.
  • Familiarity with broader Microsoft 365 tools or exposure to data visualization spaces like Power BI (used as a marker for general data literacy).
  • Basic familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or database objects like views and management tools.
  • Experience using NASCO and/or Facets claims systems.
  • Experience using Power BI.
