Job description

Job Title: Experienced CDL A Driver / Yard & Warehouse Associate

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL A Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of driving experience, along with hands-on expertise operating Moffett forklifts, sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks. When not on the road making deliveries, you will assist with operations in the yard and warehouse, including loading/unloading materials and maintaining inventory.

Key Responsibilities: Driving and Deliveries:
  • Safely operate a CDL A vehicle to deliver materials to customer locations on time.
  • Operate Moffett forklifts to unload materials at delivery sites.
  • Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips and report any issues.
  • Ensure materials are properly secured and delivery documentation is accurate.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Yard and Warehouse Operations:
  • Operate Moffett, sit-down, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks to load and unload materials.
  • Assist in stocking inventory and maintaining accurate records.
  • Prepare orders for delivery and ensure proper loading of vehicles.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the yard and warehouse.
  • Assist customers and team members with locating and moving materials.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Follow safety guidelines for equipment operation and material handling.
  • Participate in routine safety training and equipment inspections.
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL A License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL A Driver.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a Moffett forklift, sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, and reach truck.
  • Familiarity with yard and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Drug Test
  • Must have steel toed boots
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the lumber or building materials industry is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic.

You should be proficient in:
