Salary: $18.00/Hr.
Truss Assembler
Location: Gibsonton, FL.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Temporary Overtime: Saturdays, 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM (currently required due to staffing needs)
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Truss Assemblers. In this role, employees will assist in the assembly of roof trusses by positioning lumber and securing metal plates to create finished truss products. This is an outdoor position performed under a covered canopy equipped with fans for airflow.
No previous truss assembly experience is required. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and performing physical labor throughout their shift.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble roof trusses according to production specifications.
  • Position and align lumber components on assembly tables.
  • Secure trusses using metal connector plates and production equipment.
  • Move throughout the work area to access various sections of trusses during assembly.
  • Climb on and off assembly tables approximately 4 feet in height as needed to reach both the top and bottom sections of trusses.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and production standards.
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications
  • No truss assembly experience required.
  • Previous experience working outdoors preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to repeatedly climb on and off a 4-foot-high assembly table.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull lumber materials throughout the shift.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment
  • Outdoor work environment under a covered canopy.
  • Fans are provided for air circulation.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Fast-paced production setting involving lumber and construction materials.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to frequently climb on and off a 4-foot-high work table.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout a 10-hour shift.
