government, defense, and public sector customers. For more than three decades, the organization has delivered mission-critical technologies that support voice, data, networking, and tactical communications in demanding operational environments. They are seeking a hands-on Software Test Engineer to join their engineering team in Springfield, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, testing, validating system performance, and working directly with communications technologies that support real-world customer missions. What You'll Do As a Software Test Engineer, you will work closely with software developers, systems engineers, and product teams to validate the performance and reliability of communications systems and applications. Responsibilities include: Develop and execute software and system test plans Perform integration, functional, regression, and acceptance testing Configure and maintain test environments Validate system functionality and performance against requirements Troubleshoot software, networking, and hardware-related issues Document test results, defects, and corrective actions Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and improve product quality Support customer demonstrations, field testing, and product evaluations as needed Assist with system deployments and technical support activities What We're Looking For Experience in Software Testing, Systems Testing, Integration Testing, or Quality Assurance Engineering Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience working with Linux environments Understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, SIP, VoIP, routing, and switching Experience using network analysis tools such as Wireshark is preferred Ability to create and execute detailed test plans and test procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Background Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: Telecommunications Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Wireless Communications LTE / 5G Networks Tactical Communications Military Communications Systems Government or Defense Technology Programs Network Operations or Systems Integration Additional Requirements U.S.
