LSW stands for Licensed Social Worker. LSWs are professionals who have earned a social work degree and obtained a state license to practice social work. They provide support, counseling, and resources to individuals, families, and groups to help them cope with various life challenges. LSWs work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, mental health clinics, and government agencies.
