Job description

LSR Technician

PURPOSE:

Perform duties to provide prototype and production molds start up. Remove and install LSR molds, pumping stations and peripheral equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Organize and maintain storage areas for LSR molds.

Maintain and service pumping stations and pigment canisters used in production.

Work closely with maintenance and shift supervisors with any updates or changes to equipment or LSR presses.

Perform all mold changes and setups for presses that include automation. Process includes material changes of 40 - pound pail kits and 55 - gallons drums.

Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; ensure work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly condition.

Work with production on processes and troubleshooting.

Monitor all operations for techniques, procedures, and proper adherence to documentation.

Perform product release in accordance with work instructions.

Maintain and document all process changes in accordance with work instructions.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Injection molding experience
  • Strong understanding of LSR materials, curing processes, and molding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process sheets
  • Experience with mold setup, troubleshooting, and process adjustments

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 - 50 lbs. regularly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing floor with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
  • Cleanroom environment may be required depending on production area
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Safety glasses, ear plugs, etc...
