Job description

About the Job:
We are looking for a dependable Armed Security Guard to protect people and property. This job includes patrolling, stopping problems before they happen, and writing clear reports. You must stay alert, act quickly in emergencies, and keep a professional attitude at all times.
Main Duties:
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle.
  • Watch for and stop suspicious activity.
  • Write reports on incidents or rule violations.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances.
  • Control access to buildings and check IDs if needed.
  • Use security equipment (firearm, baton, pepper spray, handcuffs) only as trained and required.
  • Work with police or emergency services when necessary.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of armed security experience preferred.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Training or licenses:
    • Armed License through LSBPSE.
    • Baton License through LSBPSE.
    • Pepper Spray training.
    • Handcuff training.
  • Must be physically fit (walking, standing, and responding quickly).
  • 2 years of military police or law enforcement experience strongly preferred.
Skills Needed:
