Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialization in Neonatal Intensive Care to join our dedicated team in the NICU. This role requires a skilled professional committed to providing high-quality care for critically ill newborns.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a Level III or IV NICU setting.
  • Administer and manage various respiratory support modalities including CPAP/BiPap, high-frequency vents, oscillators, and traditional ventilation.
  • Handle blood administration and monitor vital parameters during transfusions.
  • Conduct procedures such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and managing cooling/warming blankets.
  • Insert and maintain feeding tubes, PICCs, and central lines, utilizing syringe pumps as necessary.
  • Participate in high-risk deliveries and assist in neonatal surgeries when required.
  • Attend to newborns with varied medical needs and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a NICU setting.
  • Active compact license recognized across relevant states.
  • Willingness to float to different units, including pediatrics and special care nurseries (SCN), as needed.
  • Experience with caring for infants from 23-24 weeks gestation.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
  • Day shift with 3x12-hour shifts scheduled from 07:00 to 19:30.
  • Block scheduling is available for those who prefer working consecutive days.
