About the Role:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Highlands at Owasso plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents within an assisted living facility. This position focuses on providing comprehensive patient care, including wound management, pain control, and patient education, ensuring each resident's comfort and well-being. The LPN collaborates closely with Nurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans and perform clinical procedures such as venipuncture. Effective communication in English is essential to accurately document patient information and educate residents and their families about health management. Ultimately, the LPN contributes to a supportive and safe environment that promotes the health and dignity of all residents under their care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Nursing License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure clear communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience in wound care and pain management within a clinical or assisted living setting.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture safely and effectively.
  • Prior experience working in an assisted living facility or similar healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working alongside Nurse Practitioners or within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Additional certifications related to wound care or pain management.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Continuing education in patient education techniques or geriatric nursing.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
