Job description

Doral Health & Wellness is hiring a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dialysis clinic in Brooklyn, NY. This full-time LPN nurse role follows a rotating Monday–Saturday schedule (MWF and TThS) and offers a rewarding opportunity to support patients undergoing dialysis for kidney disease and related conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, promptly reporting changes to the RN (Registered Nurse) or physician.
  • Administer prescribed medications within LPN nurse scope of practice.
  • Prepare, set up, and monitor dialysis equipment; assist with vascular access site care.
  • Collaborate with RNs, licensed practical nurses, CNAs, and physicians to execute care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment and home care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in patient medical records.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment in our LPN clinic.

Qualifications

  • Active New York State LPN license.
  • Prior dialysis, nephrology, or LPN hospital/clinic experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong observation, teamwork, and patient education skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • CNA, nurse, and new grad LPNs with dialysis exposure encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
