Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide total nursing care to residents on the assigned unit during the shift as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans alongside the healthcare team

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and evaluate effectiveness regularly

  • Maintain an environment that promotes residentsโ€™ physical, social, and psychological well-being

  • Educate residents and families on care plans and medical procedures

  • Monitor team member performance and assist with development, evaluation, and corrective action if needed

  • Delegate and ensure completion of assigned nursing tasks to team members

  • Stay current with facility policies, procedures, and ongoing nursing education

  • Recognize and act on significant changes in resident conditions

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program
