DESCRIPTION
Join Alexander Milne Developmental Services as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Are you a compassionate, dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys making a real difference every day? Alexander Milne Developmental Services is looking for an LPN to provide high-quality nursing care in a residential and long-term care environment. Work Schedule: Rotating Shift (6:00 am to 6:30 pm), full-time
Location: Covington

What You'll Do
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established care protocols.
  • Take and record vital signs, observations, and related documentation.
  • Provide wound care, including dressing wounds and applying compresses and ice bags.
  • Support catheterizations and catheter care while following safety and infection-control standards.
  • Prepare equipment and assist the physician during treatment and examinations.
  • Assist with rehabilitation efforts and support clients in achieving care goals.
  • Complete and maintain accurate charting and records on each client.
  • Request and coordinate lab work as needed and in accordance with care plans.
  • Carry out physician orders and communicate updates to the nursing team.
  • Requisition medications, supplies, and other necessary resources.
  • Provide direct care to clients when needed and ensure comfort, dignity, and safety.
  • Assist in developing and supporting patient/client care plans.
  • Administer decubiti (pressure injury) care following facility procedures.
  • Check supplies and equipment to ensure readiness for daily care needs.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements
  • Valid Louisiana License or a Multi-State License recognized by the State of Louisiana as an LPN.
  • 2 years' experience in an ICF/IDD setting preferred.
