High-Net-Worth Servicesis a part of the LPL's Wealth Management organization, a growing professional services company within LPL Financial that helps advisors and institutions execute on their biggest opportunities. Our human-led, tech-enabled serviceshelp our customers deliver great financial advice and run thriving businesses. Over 500 employees strong, we come to work each day dedicated to making an impact in lives of advisors, institutional partners, and investors.

In support of affiliated advisors and their high-net-worth clients, the Estate PlanningConsultantwill be a dedicated resource and member of the LPL High-Net-Worth Services Team. Acting in a specialist capacity, the role will involve collaborating with the team's estate planning attorneys by providing reviews of existing client estate documents/structures and summarizing potential solutions for client consideration. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and initiative at LPL Financial and to collaborate with and learn from attorneys experienced in advanced estate planning.

Responsibilities:
  • Estate Planning Reviews- Review trusts (revocable and irrevocable), wills, and ancillary documents and break out the information into our deliverable. Flowchart the existing documents to show what happens at the death of each beneficiary.

  • Proposed Estate Planning Strategies- Work with estate planning attorneys to include potential strategies for asset protection, income tax, or estate tax concerns and incorporate their observations. Create a new master flowchart depicting what the overall proposed strategies would look like.

  • Case Management- Update the status of current cases and ensure all cases are being managed efficiently.

  • Communication- Communicate with affiliated advisors and attorneys to ensure their questions are answered and the cases are moving along.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in estate planning.

Core Competencies:
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy in reviewing trust structures, coordinating documentation, and managing followthrough across complex workflows.

  • Core understanding of revocable trusts and sub trusts created within them.

  • Highly collaborative with experience in servicing the needs of affluent and institutional clients.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving, and effective decision making.

  • Ability to multi-task and follow up.

  • Polished presentation skills and ability to interact with sophisticated clients and advisors.

Preferences:
  • Certified Paralegal or a Bachelor's degree.

  • Familiarity with Brentmark, Number Cruncher, or other software used for estate tax strategies.


Pay Range:

$83,739.00 - $139,565.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
