Job description

Coastal Eye Care, a well-established two-physician ophthalmology practice in Ellsworth, Maine, is seeking a full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join their team. This role offers immediate surgical volume, access to cutting-edge technology, and a supportive environment with experienced staff. The incoming physician will benefit from a balanced schedule with no hospital or ER call, allowing for a high quality of life in a stunning coastal location.

Practice Info

  • 29-year-old, two-physician ophthalmology practice
  • Established, high-volume clinic with a loyal referral network of local ODs and PCPs
  • On-site ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center)
  • Advanced technology: iTrace, Zeiss OCT, Argos biometer, LAL IOL Light Delivery Device, ORA Wavetec, and full premium IOL capability
  • 10 exam rooms with experienced technical staff and dedicated scribe support
  • ASC located on-site in the same building

Responsibilities

  • Perform 10+ cataract cases per week in year one, with strong growth trajectory
  • Perform surgical scope including cataract surgery, YAG, LPI, and SLT procedures
  • Expand subspecialty services if fellowship-trained in Glaucoma or Cornea
