Loyola Academy is a Jesuit, Catholic college preparatory school committed to forming women and men for others in service to the Church and the world. Our graduates are religious, intellectually competent, physically fit, loving, open to growth, and committed to doing justice.
Loyola Academy seeks a qualified, temporary Mathematics teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Anticipated dates of employment are August 2026 - September 2026.
Responsibilities
The Temporary Mathematics Teacher needs to be a person who models cura personalis with the entire community - students, parents, faculty, and staff members. The minimum qualifications required are:
  • Commitment to the principles of Jesuit education as set forth in Loyola Academy's mission statement and the Profile of the Jesuit High School Graduate at Graduation;
  • Ability to teach all levels of Mathematics
  • Effective and positive communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience teaching in a 1:1 iPad environment
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters preferred

Expectations for faculty members include:
  • Teaching and leading students in accordance with Ignatian educational principles and the mission of Loyola Academy
  • Maintaining proper records and communication with parents and school officials
  • Working collaboratively with the department and its course teams in the development of an academically challenging curriculum
  • Participating in the co-curricular life of the students and the school
  • Modeling the "Graduate at Graduation" qualities
  • Participating in departmental and school-wide professional development
