Job description

The Loyalty Strategy Manager is a data-driven strategist who leverages program and business data, customer insights, and marketplace best practices to define and implement the go-forward loyalty benefit and member experience. In this capacity, the role is responsible for driving credit sales and penetration, new account solicitation, Belk Rewards loyalty program and best customer metrics by executing strategic efforts in partnership with our third-party credit card provider. The Loyalty Strategy Manager owns the loyalty strategy roadmap end-to-end, including prioritization and implementation, in partnership with Loyalty Analytics, Technology, and Field teams. This role also defines and oversees implementation of the Loyalty test & learn agenda. This role plans and coordinates credit marketing activities which maximize Belk Credit Sales, Belk Credit penetration and the number of Belk credit accounts solicited; this includes direct mail, in-store events, in-store associate training, activation programs, and maintaining in-store credit knowledge and disciplines.
In this role you would collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Stores, Analytics, Technology, Visual Merchandising, Synchrony, and field leadership to align priorities and deliver business results.

Essential Functions

Loyalty Strategy, Implementation and Promotional Strategy:

  • Own and prioritize the loyalty program roadmap, ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Partner with Loyalty Analytics to leverage program, customer, and business performance data to identify opportunities that increase credit sales, penetration, loyalty engagement, and customer value.
  • Develop and oversee the loyalty test-and-learn agenda, evaluating new benefits, experiences, and program enhancements to optimize performance.
  • Capture and share industry benchmarks, competitive insights, and marketplace best practices to inform program strategy; understand and analyze the competitive landscape and performance to influence the Belk loyalty program.
  • Collaborate with Technology and business partners to define requirements and implement enhancements that improve member experience, loyalty capabilities, and program effectiveness.
  • Partner with Synchrony and internal stakeholders to create and execute integrated payment, credit, and loyalty marketing strategies, including promotional calendars, direct mail, and special events.
  • Monitor in-store promotional execution, signage, and tender mix for the Belk Rewards Loyalty program and make recommendations as needed to meet strategic credit objectives.

Credit Marketing / Stores:

  • In conjunction with Synchrony and Sales Promotion, develop an overall payments marketing strategy to optimize our sales and customer loyalty resulting in sales growth and customer satisfaction. This includes building the ad calendar, direct mail execution and special events with credit differentials that support overall credit and company growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies using performance and customer data that drive Belk Rewards card acquisition, activation, penetration, total sales and usage across stores and digital channels.
  • Partner with Finance, Synchrony, and analytics teams to develop budgets, evaluate program effectiveness, and optimize marketing investments.
  • Develop programs, communications, and training initiatives that support stores in achieving credit application goals and reinforce the value of loyalty and credit customers.
  • Own field integration and work directly with Division Credit Champions (RVPs) to ensure that credit strategies are implemented including presenting information to divisions, store managers, and associates on how the Belk Rewards card drives incremental sales.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelors Degree required- preferably marketing or retail related.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 1+ years managing a loyalty or credit marketing program, preferred.
  • 3-5 years retail stores or credit marketing experience, required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong familiarity with sfy and credit marketing programs
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build partnerships and effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of marketing planning, promotional strategy, customer communications, and multi-channel campaign execution.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and drive cross-functional execution.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to leverage customer, financial, and operational data to identify opportunities and drive business results.
  • Highly adaptive, manages well in a fast paced environment, and detail oriented.
  • Familliar with Microsoft Office, AI platforms (i.e. Claude), Monday, PageProof, Figma, Jira.

Pay Range

$92,400 to $138,500

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
