Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Software Developer to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Position Description:

The Software Developer position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering modular web application features across the full stack, from the database to the front-end user interface, using a structured architecture.

MUST HAVE an active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Development & Deployment: Design, build, and maintain software features. Assist in deployment activities and provide ongoing support for released applications.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Workflow Management: Manage development workflows, track feature releases, and oversee task timelines.
  • Standards & Compliance: Adhere to security practices, version control, and established development standards.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and prompt methodologies to optimize workflow automation, accelerate scaffolding, and enhance system intelligence.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Database: Experience with relational databases and data management.
  • AI & Tools: Proven experience with AI integration and prompt engineering.
  • General: Competency with MS Office.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience migrating or refactoring legacy platforms into isolated, vertical-slice models.
  • Experience designing programmatic workflows, automated client communications, multi-tiered status models, or email tracking backlogs.
  • Strong background in software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience developing and maintaining production-level applications.
  • Experience creating tabular data layouts, dashboard metrics, or operational views for complex organizational structures.
  • Navy experience in radar or Navy legacy systems a plus
