In addition to closing sales, this position is responsible for maintaining an organized and professional sales center, accurately tracking inventory, keeping product displays customer-ready, and ensuring every customer receives timely, helpful service throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage professionally with customers in person, by phone, online, and through social media.
  • Convert incoming leads and walk-in traffic into sales while consistently working toward monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Build relationships with customers and generate referrals and repeat business.
  • Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and available purchasing options clearly and confidently.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective customers using the company CRM.
  • Create and manage online product listings, including Facebook Marketplace and other social media channels.
  • Identify local sales opportunities and develop new leads through networking and community outreach.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and promptly communicate inventory changes.
  • Keep the office, sales lot, product displays, and sales materials clean, organized, and customer-ready.
  • Address customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support a positive, accountable, and results-focused team environment.
Qualifications
  • Prior retail, inside, outside, online, or other customer-facing sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, follow up consistently, and close sales.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and professional communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using a CRM or other customer-tracking system.
  • Experience with online sales, social media marketing, or Facebook Marketplace strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to inventory accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with sheds, carports, HVAC systems, outdoor products, automotive sales, furniture sales, or another commission-based product environment is helpful but not required.
