Job description

Lorena Pulichino Design is seeking a talented and highly organized Interior Designer to join our growing studio. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, refined design sensibility, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of a project from concept through implementation.

You will be involved in all phases of the design process and will work closely with clients, vendors, and contractors to bring thoughtful, detail-driven residential projects to life.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute cohesive, elevated design concepts tailored to each client
  • Produce drawings and documentation for client presentations and construction
  • Select and specify materials, finishes, plumbing fixtures, and appliances
  • Participate in the design and detailing of custom millwork and cabinetry
  • Curate furniture, lighting, and accessories to complete each project
  • Create polished digital presentations and lookbooks
  • Act as a key point of communication with contractors, vendors, and consultants
  • Proactively follow up on all project-related items to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
  • Coordinate with trades during construction to maintain design intent and resolve issues as they arise
  • Organize and manage tasks across multiple projects using project management software

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential and/or commercial interior design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Proactive, forward-thinking, and able to anticipate project needs
  • Comfortable communicating directly with contractors and vendors and keeping projects on track
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude

Valued skills but not required:

  • Render and visual presentation skills
  • Interest in marketing or social media
  • Experience budgeting projects, bid coordination, purchasing, expediting, and working with vendors.
