Job description

Job Summary:
Responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used in the manufacturing of components and/or finished products for internal and external customers as defined by a daily production schedules.
Position Scope:
Maintains daily communication with Quality Control, Department Manager, and other employees in the department to ensure the needs of all internal and external customers as outline by the production schedule are met. The position works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.
Skills/Requirements
Education: Major duties and responsibilities of the job can be satisfactorily performed with a high school education or GED.
Experience: On the job training is provided, prior machine experience is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications: Basic computer knowledge and the ablility to use computerized equipment in daily operations.
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime.
Must have have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Must have the ability to read and interpret a tape measure.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
1. Must be able to read and complete the labeling process.
2. Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe working environment.
3. Must be able to operate the machinery proficiently according to customer specifications and the daily production schedule.
4. Conducts quality checks to ensure product meets all specifications.
5. Monitors the equipment to make sure that downtime is kept to a minimum.
6. Inputs pertinent data into the SAP system.
7. Must be forklift certified.
8. Must be able to make machine adjustment when necessary.
9. Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure
Non-Essentials Functions:
1. Assists with inventory, as required.
2. Other duties as assigned by management.
