Job description

Looking Glass Community Services is actively recruiting a Service Coordinator to join our Station 7 program!

Brief Overview of the Service Coordinator Position

The Service Coordinator coordinates and monitors the service plan including integration of support team members, key agencies and youth participants. This position is responsible for providing crisis intervention, maintaining a positive milieu, creating behavior management plans and overall case coordination for youth and family participants assigned to caseload.

Additional duties include:

  1. Provides crisis intervention counseling and service coordination for telephone and walk-in clients.
  2. Oversees the operation of the telephone crisis and service linkage system.
  3. Acts as shift coordinator on scheduled shifts.
  4. Provides transportation for program activities.
  5. Provides training to program staff and volunteers, and supervises assigned volunteers.

Essential Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in social work, social science, or a related field is preferred. Professional experience may be accepted in lieu of education.

One year experience working with youth and families

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required! Additional $1/hour increase for bilingual services

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $24.75/hour
  • Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday 7:30am - 5:30pm
  • The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) options, and more!
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) accrual rate starts at ~18 hours per month, equivalent to 5.4 weeks/year in the first year of employment. PTO accrual rate increases with tenure at the agency, and is available to use starting the 1st of the month following the first 30 days of employment.
  • Paid in-depth training to ensure a successful transition into the agency and position.
  • May qualify for Oregon behavioral health loan repayment programs and federal Public Student Loan Forgiveness programs.

Overview of the Homeless Youth Services Programs

HYS is a group of four emergency shelter and crisis counseling programs. These services help youth get their lives back on track and provide the chance to reunite with their families. Station 7, PEER Shelter, and New Roads, with some Rural Outreach in Cottage Grove serve our clients in a way that equips them with basic needs, emergency shelter, and the tools necessary to advocate for themselves.
