A long term care pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that provides medications and consulting services to residents of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes, assisted living centers, and rehabilitation facilities. These pharmacies work closely with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients who often have complex medical needs. Services may include medication packaging, delivery, administration guidance, and clinical consultations to help prevent adverse drug interactions. Long term care pharmacies play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of residents over extended periods.

To thrive in Long Term Care Pharmacy, you need a solid background in pharmacology, medication therapy management, and an active pharmacist license, often with experience in geriatric or long-term care settings. Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, electronic medication administration records (eMAR), and regulatory compliance tools is vital. At Legends Pharmacy, youโ€™ll practice in a closed-door long-term care pharmacy where teamwork, accuracy, and service come first. Whether youโ€™re supplementing your current position, transitioning toward retirement, or simply looking for a flexible schedule, this is an opportunity to continue practicing pharmacy in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Just meaningful work serving long-term care residents and the healthcare professionals who care for them.

Why Join the Legends Team?

As a PRN pharmacist, youโ€™ll enjoy the flexibility to pick up shifts based on your availability while becoming part of a team that values professionalism, collaboration, and exceptional patient care.

Youโ€™ll work alongside experienced pharmacists and technicians in a fast-paced environment where your clinical knowledge makes a difference every day.

About the Role

As a PRN Staff Pharmacist, youโ€™ll provide clinical oversight and support for daily pharmacy operations by verifying prescriptions, collaborating with technicians, answering medication-related questions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping maintain safe, efficient workflow during periods of increased operational need.

Whether youโ€™re covering planned PTO, assisting during high-volume periods, or supporting unexpected staffing needs, your expertise will help ensure patients continue receiving timely, accurate pharmacy services.

If you enjoy flexibility while remaining connected to a great pharmacy team, this position was designed for you.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Licensed to practice in New Mexico.
  • Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and team-focused.
  • Passionate about patient safety and exceptional service.

Experience in long-term care, hospital, institutional, retail, or other pharmacy practice settings is welcome.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation (DOE)

Opportunities to pick up additional shifts as business needs evolve.

Become Part of the Legends Team

At Legends Pharmacy, every shift matters because every patient matters.

If youโ€™re looking for a flexible opportunity where your expertise is respected and your work has a meaningful impact, weโ€™d love to hear from you.
