Job Description:
Vitalant is seeking a Union Driver dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Union Driver is vital. As a member of our Union courier team, you will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by utilizing your communication and customer service skills to establish relationships with hospital staff while delivering and transporting blood and blood products. Additionally, you will be driving long distance to a Vitalant location in Ohio to transport medical products.
What to Expect
Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 1:00 AM - 11:00 AM Overnights four days per week. Long distance driving each shift to Ohio and back.
Starting pay: $18.00+ more based on experience (plus overnight 14% shift differential)

As a Union Driver, you will get to
  • Maintain a great rapport with hospitals that we service.
  • Successfully deliver blood, supplies, equipment, or other blood products.
  • Play an active part in the setup and takedown of mobile blood drives by loading and unloading blood drive supplies.
  • Manage the safe handling, cleaning, and tracking of biowaste.
  • Use exceptional problem-solving skills to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical or have a DOT Medical Certificate
  • 6 months of similar experience preferred
  • Clean driving record with valid PA driver's license
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.with the assistance of a hand cart
