Job description

This job is for class A CDL truck drivers hauling and unloading lime into tanks. Jobs vary from local plants to various plants throughout Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas and other surrounding states. You must have experience with long distance driving and working in lime plants. Please only serious inquiries only. Pay is negotiable, but competitive.

Join our dynamic team as a Lime Pneumatic Truck Operator and become a vital part of our logistics and transportation operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating specialized pneumatic trucks designed for transporting bulk lime materials throughout the Southeast Region, ensuring timely deliveries across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle hazardous materials will drive our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Salary depends on experience.

Duties
* Safely operate Lime pneumatic trucks equipped with automatic transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
* Load and unload bulk lime materials using appropriate manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for over-the-road (OTR) routes.
* Navigate using GPS systems to efficiently plan and execute delivery routes, including specialized routes.
* Transport freight safely across long-distance routes. including hazardous or dangerous goods.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before departure.
* Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate deliveries, report issues, or update delivery statuses promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in commercial truck driving transporting lime, loading and unloading into silos.
* Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with at least 3 years satisfactory driving record.
* Strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.
* Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
* Ability to manually handle freight safely during loading and unloading processes.
* Familiarity with truck loading/unloading lime procedures and logistics cargo handling techniques.
* Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in commercial driving environments.
