To thrive as a Long Distance Delivery Driver, you need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a solid driving record, and knowledge of transportation regulations. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and freight handling equipment is typically required. Strong time management, reliability, and effective communication with dispatch and customers are crucial soft skills.
