Job description

The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors to attend to all callers/visitors promptly, and accurately. You will report to the Center Administrator at the Groves Clinic.

The Receptionist operates a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintains long distance call logs. Take and distribute accurate messages. Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issues visitor passes and maintain visitor logs, alerts appropriate party of visitor arrival or directs visitors to appropriate office, department or employee. Respond to routine inquiries from internal or external sources such as our location, hours of operation, phone numbers and email address. Additional responsibilities may include miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, receiving and sending courier packages.

Required Qualifications

  • You will have a High School Diploma or GED
  • You will have 1 year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
  • You will be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care
  • You will have excellent customer service
  • You will be a team player.
  • You will be patient facing and run the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Value-based care model experience
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$38,000 - $45,800 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
