Job Description

Our client is looking to hire Logistics Specialist.

Responsibilities:


This position is responsible for executing activities related to the movement of commercial product throughout the domestic and international Supply Chain.ย 

Primary activities include:

o developing and maintaining shipping schedules,ย 

o creation and review of transport documentation,ย 

o coordination of shipments with company's sites, contracted partner sites, transportation partners and brokers and entry of related deviations.ย 


Accountabilities:ย 

Shipment coordination: create internal orders or AT's to initiate shipments, create transport documents, set shipment up with transport provider, transport reviews, liaise with brokers and customs agencies as required.ย 

Deviations: enter deviations as recognized, investigate and drive to closure.ย 

Create/Revise Logistics SOPs in support of process changes.ย 

US Customs Compliance: review US imports in support of CBP approved program.ย 


Education and Experience Requirements:ย 

Prior experience with materials management, transport, logistics.ย 

1+ years of experience with import/export logistics.ย 

Demonstrated experience with commercial invoicing and USDA statements.ย 

Demonstrated experience with Customs Compliance and FDA Compliance requirementsย 

Good communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated learning ability.ย 

1+ years of experience with biological products or biopharmaceutical industry.
