Title: Logistics Representative

As a Logistics Representative within the Logistics Division at TA Dedicated, you will play a critical role in connecting our customers with reliable carrier partners to deliver flexible, cost-effective transportation solutions. This customer- and carrier-facing role is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. You'll be responsible for managing freight opportunities, building carrier relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery that reflects the TA Dedicated brand.
  • Act as a central point of contact for both customers and carriers, ensuring timely and professional communication throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Source and secure carrier capacity for customer freight across multiple modes, including truckload, drayage, and LTL.
  • Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while maintaining profitability and service standards.
  • Build and maintain a reliable carrier network, focusing on long-term partnerships that support recurring and spot freight needs.
  • Deliver proactive customer service, resolving issues quickly and ensuring on-time performance and visibility.
  • Monitor market conditions and leverage industry tools to make informed buying decisions and stay ahead of seasonal and regional trends.
  • Ensure data accuracy by maintaining up-to-date records in transportation management systems (TMS) and internal platforms.
  • Promote TA Dedicated's logistics capabilities to carriers and customers, reinforcing our commitment to service, safety, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, operations, and sales to ensure alignment and execution of customer expectations.
  • Continuously develop industry knowledge, staying current on transportation trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success and growth of the logistics division.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing, or related field required; equivalent experience considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, trucking, or customer service; transportation industry experience required.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn logistics platforms and TMS systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume logistics environment with a focus on responsiveness and accuracy.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
