Job description

J.L. Refrigeration Inc. is recognized as one of the leading Supermarket Refrigeration companies in the GTA (Greater Toronto) and surrounding areas. Our mission is to consistently offer our customers superior quality service each and every time.

The office is located in Scarborough and the hours for this position are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Position Scope:
Sourcing & Purchasing:  
  • Assist in issuing, tracking and reconciling Purchase Order for all parts and materials purchases.
  • Negotiate equipment rentals and material purchasing etc.
  • Vendor management including sourcing new vendors and building relationships with current vendors.
  • Assist in preparing and sending job estimates.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzes all expenses on projects.
  • Manages the receipt of invoices from suppliers for account payables verification. Coordinates a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork/documentation.
  • Ship and track warranty return parts to warranty provider and support administration team to ensure credits/refunds are received.
Inventory & Warehouse Management:
  • Assist in the procedure of technician parts pick up and truck restock. 
  • Track and manage stock inventory on a regular basis, including elimination of obsolete or non-selling parts.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient shipping & receiving by ensuring all parts are received and in good condition.
  • Ensure health and safety practices are followed within the warehouse and identify and reports unsafe, unhealthy or hazardous working conditions.
  • Regular inspection of equipment & tools to ensure safe/suitable for operations.
  • General shop housekeeping. Keep warehouse tidy with parts/tools/gear in designated spaces, floors clean, clear and tidy to eliminate trip hazards, garbage/recycling taken out daily and electronics components properly segregated for recycling/disposal.
  • Regularly conduct random safety audits on technician vehicles.
  • Monitor and manage disposal of waste oil, absorbent pads, scrap metal, etc
  • Assist in Orientation of new technicians on the procedures relating to parts, inventory and tools.

Position Requirements:
  • Conversant in supply chain logistics.
  • Basic mechanical / technical / mathematical aptitude.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Displays a willingness to learn.
  • Innovative, thinks outside the box, pro-actively develops self-knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Good focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs when required.
  • Previous exposure in Refrigeration & HVAC an asset.
