Purpose of the Role

The Senior Carrier Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Carrier Sourcing team while strengthening strategic partnerships with key carriers within the WorldWide Logistics network. This role drives long-term carrier capacity, performance, operational excellence, and team development through effective leadership, coaching, and execution of sourcing strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Carrier Sourcing Managers by providing performance feedback and fostering ongoing professional development
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex carrier negotiations, service issues, and strategic carrier relationships
  • Monitor, analyze, and manage key KPI performance metrics across assigned carrier relationships
  • Source, qualify, and onboard reliable, high-performing carrier partners to support WorldWide Logistics customers’ freight needs
  • Negotiate competitive rates, capacity commitments, and service expectations for dedicated and project freight
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Sales to ensure scalable network capacity and service execution
  • Identify and implement value-add opportunities that deepen strategic carrier partnerships and improve service outcomes
  • Champion adoption and optimization of the WorldWide Load Board among select carrier partners
  • Lead identification and development of carrier partners to support domestic U.S. drop-trailer and dedicated network opportunities
  • Proactively plan and position the WorldWide Logistics carrier network to support seasonal demand, market shifts, and growth initiatives

Education and Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in logistics brokerage, carrier sales, carrier sourcing, or B2B transportation sales preferred
