Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Project Manager to join our Seattle team, with a primary focus on our Baggage Optimization Program. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of baggage handling system projects, from construction administration through commissioning and project closeout, as part of broader airport infrastructure work. A key focus will be coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring the Baggage Optimization Program and related projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to BNP's quality standards. Strong organizational skills, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and internal teams are essential for a successful candidate.


Responsibilities


Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead the Baggage Optimization Program through the remainder of construction, commissioning, and closeout, with a focus on final delivery.
  • Review detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  •  Monitor project progress against scope, schedule, and budget, proactively identifying and resolving risks and delays.
  •  Coordinate design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and milestones.
  • Manage change orders, submittals, and RFIs throughout the construction process.
  •  Coordinate inspections, commissioning, and testing activities and track resolution of deficiencies. 
  •  Monitor installation quality and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  •  Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
  •  Build and maintain strong relationships with airport authorities, airlines, government agencies, sub-consultants, and contractors.
  •  Represent BNP in client meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.
  •  Manage client expectations and resolve issues with professionalism and sound judgment.

Team Coordination & Leadership

  • Coordinate cross-functional internal teams, including engineering, design, and construction administration staff.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and hold team members accountable to project timelines.
  •  Mentor junior project staff and support their professional development.


Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  •  Prepare regular project status reports for internal project team members and clients.
  • Track project metrics and identify opportunities to improve delivery timelines and processes.
  • Contribute to lessons-learned reviews and help refine BNP's project management standards.

Qualifications

  •  5+ years of project management experience, preferably in Baggage Handling Systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, and installation), with additional experience in infrastructure, engineering, or construction environments a plus.
  •  Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from design through construction completion preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contracts on large-scale technical projects.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel.

Education

  •  Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  •  PMP or other professional project management certification preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position based in our Seattle Airport on-site office. 
  • The role may require travel to contractor office locations and other BNP offices and possibly to other BNP project sites as project needs dictate.
  •  Standard 40-hour work week with occasional additional time required to meet project deadlines.

Salary

 $95,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
