Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Logistics Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and maintain delivery schedules for materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate transportation and storage of construction materials.
  • Anticipate potential delays and implement contingency plans.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Negotiate shipping terms and manage freight logistics.
Site Coordination
  • Work closely with site supervisors to align deliveries with project timelines.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials on-site.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, permits, and delivery receipts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local building codes.
Budget & Cost Control
  • Monitor logistics-related expenses and assist in cost optimization.
  • Prepare reports on material usage and delivery performance.
Communication
  • Act as the point of contact for logistics-related issues between project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery status and resolve any logistical challenges.
Qualifications EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in construction logistics or project coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and material handling.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Time management and multitasking.
  • Problem-solving under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
