Goldbelt Integrated Logistics Services (GbILS) provides four specific areas of expertise-Logistics Engineering, Measurement Sciences, Program Management, and Technical Support-serving the scientific, technical, and engineering needs of clients. GbILS values its innovative thinking and service-oriented team who provide services for a variety of federal government and commercial clients.
Summary:
GbILS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the coordination and execution of administrative projects for our contract client. Working closely with the Program Manager, this position will be responsible for managing project activities, coordinating priorities and deliverables, tracking progress, and ensuring administrative tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting efficient day-to-day contract operations.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.
  • Coordinates all aspects of projects, organizes meetings, decision documentation, products, and outputs.
  • Maintains deadlines; monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Support assessments and analyses of project risks and document efforts.
  • Maintain the equipment roster and coordinate equipment issuance and turn-in as required.
  • Collect, organize, and compile documentation for project reporting.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, challenges, and upcoming activities, adjusting plans as necessary to support successful execution.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, logs, and supporting records.
  • Prepare and present project status reports and updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed as required and coordinate formal project acceptance and closeout.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements to project management processes and tools.
  • Perform additional duties and provide project or administrative support as directed by leadership and/or task leads.

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse set of government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, teamwork, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to derive solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent judgement and decision making, with strong analytical skills; business intuition and business acumen.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Public Health, Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in project or program management.
  • Experience developing quality assurance plans and compliance documentation.
  • Previous experience working with the CDC is desired to understand the culture and environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in business administration, Public Health, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management. Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Previous experience with federal government agencies; preferably with CDC.
