Standard Job Description As the core material logistics project manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for leading project initiatives aimed at improving Sikorsky material operations. This role is primarily reponsible for the following: Thinaer system implementation and improvement SMCC Product Owner & metric dashboards maintenance and upgrades Warehousing and Logistics Contract negotiations and management Identification and implementation of annual improvement initiatives MMAS audits and CAP completions 53E PBL Team (New Bern NC) Transactional / Financial forecasting Standard Job Description Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Oversees the status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Monitors the assessment of project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Insures the development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Basic Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of Agile and Traditional project methodologies along project life cycle. Requires strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills in a high volume work environment.

Must have ability to respond quickly and effectively to shifting priorities and emergency situations that could adversely impact customers. Requires proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS office applications and SAP with the ability to learn new programs that may be job specific. Must have demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement /Lean efforts and cost reduction initiatives.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
