ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Logistics is critical to reducing and mitigating costs at Jack Archer with imports, domestic transfers/inbound and outbound parcel freight. This person will be responsible for optimizing the transport of goods and will work cross-functionally with our Product Team to ensure cost efficient and on-time deliveries to both internal and external customers. This role sits within the Fulfillment & Logistics organization and will report to the Vice President.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage the movement of Jack Archer freight across all channels

  • Work cross-functionally with the Product team to ensure best cost and on-time deliveries to support new product launches and promotions

  • Negotiate freight contracts and rates with carriers, suppliers and providers

  • Explore new vendors, providers and systems to streamline and improve all facets of product movements

  • Provide in-transit reporting, analyze freight costs and identify areas of savings

  • Set up new partnerships, hold carriers and transportation providers accountable to performance

  • Coordinate movement of inventory from suppliers and vendors to end points in a cost-efficient manner

  • Provide regular updates on transportation costs as it relates to cost of goods sold to the leadership team

  • Deep dive and approvals of invoices to ensure accuracy and audits

  • Work independently as well as on a small team to make significant impacts to Jack Archerโ€™s bottom line

  • Support efforts to move Jack Archer into retail and wholesale opportunities, taking point on compliance to routing guides and partner requirements on shipments and timelines

WHAT YOU HAVE
  • 10+ YOE in Operations with a focus on Transportation & Logistics.

  • Experience with contract negotiations across multiple carriers and channels

  • Freight and rate pricing experience

  • Building business relationships with vendors, partners and providers that benefit Jack Archer customers

  • Experience working with many customer bases including end-customers, internal customers and third parties

  • Preferred experience with ocean contracts, spot markets, freight forwarding, parcel contract negotiation, freight and ship auditing and claims, invoice audits, returns management and optimization.
