Position Overview

The Logistics Lead Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing transportation and freight operations while leveraging advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to drive cost efficiency, service reliability, and continuous improvement.

This role balances hands-on logistics execution with strategic, data-driven decision-making to support a growing and dynamic supply chain network. The position partners closely with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and external carriers to ensure customer commitments are met while using analytics, forecasting models, and AI-supported insights to improve freight performance, scalability, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Logistics Operations

  • Coordinate and schedule daily transportation needs to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
  • Track shipments through delivery and proactively address service disruptions and capacity constraints
  • Manage carrier, broker, and 3PL relationships to ensure performance expectations are met
  • Oversee transportation execution while balancing service, cost, and operational constraints

Freight Optimization & Cost Management

  • Use AI-enabled analytics and transportation data to evaluate freight spend, lane performance, and carrier utilization
  • Support freight bid events and rate negotiations using scenario modeling, historical performance data, and predictive insights
  • Identify opportunities to redesign lanes, consolidate shipments, and improve network efficiency
  • Monitor market trends, capacity shifts, and rate volatility to proactively adjust freight strategies

AI, Analytics & Decision Support

  • Leverage AI-driven insights, forecasting tools, and optimization models to support transportation planning and cost control
  • Translate advanced analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and operations teams
  • Continuously improve the use of analytics and AI tools to enhance visibility, predict risk, and support smarter decision-making

Freight Invoicing & Financial Controls

  • Reconcile freight invoices against contracts, loads, and accessorial agreements to ensure billing accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with carriers and internal teams
  • Approve validated invoices for submission to Accounts Payable
  • Partner with Finance to support freight accruals, budget tracking, and savings validation

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with Planning and Customer Service to align transportation plans with production and customer demand
  • Partner with Procurement and Finance on sourcing strategies, savings initiatives, and cost-to-serve analysis
  • Develop and maintain SOPs that support consistent, scalable, and analytically driven logistics processes
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain network

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities (Part-Time Support)

In addition to the core responsibilities, this role will provide part-time shipping clerk support as needed to ensure smooth daily shipping and warehouse operations:

  • Check in inbound and outbound drivers upon arrival
  • Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOL) and required shipping documentation
  • Verify trailer temperatures prior to loading and departure to ensure product integrity
  • Confirm with drivers that sufficient hours of service are available to support on-time delivery
  • Complete internal transfers of finished goods from HK to the frozen warehouse
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and communicate shipment status internally as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Required Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive operational and financial decisions
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and freight cost analysis

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with AI-enabled logistics, analytics, or optimization platforms
  • Familiarity with forecasting models, network analysis, or scenario planning tools
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) or SQL is a plus
  • Experience with freight auditing or invoice reconciliation processes

Position offers a starting salary range of $75,600 - $120,300 USD, with a target starting pay of $90,000 - $100,000.

Actual pay offered is dependent on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
