This is not a slow‐moving warehouse—every order counts, and our teams operate with urgency and purpose.

About the Role

The 1st Shift Operations Manager owns execution for warehouse and fulfillment operations in a high‐volume, same‐day shipping environment. This role is ideal for a hands‐on leader who thrives under pressure, understands productivity and labor performance, and knows how to hold teams accountable while keeping morale high.

You will lead the shift end‐to‐end—people, performance, safety, service, and cost—and play a critical role in delivering a 100% same‐day shipping commitment.

What You’ll Own

Shift Operations & Execution

  • Lead all 1st‐shift warehouse activities including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory movement
  • Ensure 100% same‐day shipping for all eligible orders

  • Partner with leadership to ensure seamless handoff of volume, priorities, and execution risks

Productivity, Cost & Performance

  • Actively manage picking productivity (UPH), labor utilization, and staffing levels
  • Own daily shift‐level P&L performance, ensuring labor spend aligns with budget and cost‐per‐unit (CPU) targets
  • Track and report daily results including productivity, quality, labor efficiency, staffing, and financial performance
  • Operate confidently in a metric-driven environment where results are measured daily

Leadership & Accountability

  • Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and warehouse associates
  • Create a culture of urgency, accountability, teamwork, and results
  • Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable to performance and safety standards

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment through daily observations and audits
  • Enforce all safety procedures and warehouse protocols
  • Ensure order accuracy and service quality meet client expectations

Client & Cross‐Functional Communication

  • Communicate directly with the client as needed regarding shift performance and service execution
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support fulfillment, transportation, and inventory accuracy

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (A plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations (3PL preferred)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in fast‐paced, high‐performance environments
  • Strong understanding of fulfillment workflows (picking, packing, shipping)
  • Proven ability to manage productivity metrics (UPH, labor efficiency)
  • Experience managing labor performance against financial targets (P&L, CPU, or similar)
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to adapt to changing business demands

  • Experience in same‐day or high‐urgency fulfillment environments
  • Experience working within a cost‐per‐unit (CPU) labor model
  • Client‐facing warehouse leadership experience

Why Join Us

  • Competitive salary with strong visibility into performance and impact
  • Opportunity to grow within a fast‐paced, expanding 3PL organization
