ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Vancouver store

Status: Full Time

Compensation: $80,000-$85,000/yr

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager organizes and monitors inventory levels to maximize efficiency. The Operations Manager leads the Operations team in supporting the Front of House Management in delivering positive business results. Acting as the liaison between Warehouse Operations and their store, the Operations Manager will continuously communicate and update all appropriate business partners on all inventory, store logistics, and product related matters. They will also be responsible for managing all store deliveries, as well as training and developing their Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor stock room and inventory controls to optimize overall procedures.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate to meet the demands of the business.
  • Appropriately communicate any inventory and/or product related issues with HQ business partners.
  • Accurately record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
  • Efficiently prepare for upcoming deliveries using any available resources.
  • Maximize back-of-house space for storage of product and store supplies.
  • Continuously collaborate with the warehouse team and store management to ensure business goals are met.
  • Manage a team of Operations supervisors, leads and associates to ensure goals are met in the most effective and efficient way.
  • Communicate daily goals and priorities with the store team, and redirect activities as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policy and procedures, including but not limited to availability & scheduling needs of the business.
  • Oversee and assist with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard retail operations.

Special Projects/Tasks:

  • Help lead the execution of all cycle counts, physical inventory audits as required by the business.
  • Provide support for any visual initiatives as needed, including but not limited to overnight, early morning shifts.
  • Open to travel to support other stores, when needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Availability:

  • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business' needs require.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of customer facing management experience
  • 1+ years of retail/apparel operations experience
  • 1+ years leading a team

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects/tasks at one time.
  • Efficient and effective communicator and delegator
  • Comprehensive computer skills and familiarity with Google Suite (Email, Sheets, Docs, etc.)
  • Ability to perform business math and accounting.
  • Ability to lift and move 11.34kg.
  • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
