Job description

Our JDC Warehouse associates are eligible to receive weekly pay bonuses, employee discounts, student incentive pay, and access to employee gym. The scheduled shift for this position will be 6:30 AM - 3:15 PM, Mon - Fri.

This position is a great fit for anyone who has experience or is interested in logistics and distribution fields. This position will be given thorough hands-on training.

JDC Warehouse associates are expected to participate in the daily activities and operations of the Journeys Distribution Center.
Expectations are:
Stand, bend, stoop, and walk on concrete and grated floors for the entirety of your shift, lift up to 45lbs. and climb stairs.
Being reliable and consistent with your schedule and work hours.
Must be at least 18 years old
Help keep the warehouse clean and safe.
Utilize a hand-held computer for various functions and departments.
Perform multiple tasks within the warehouse that could vary daily, weekly and monthly.
Our shifts are worked indoors in a climate controlled facility that stays 70 degrees year-round!

The most common jobs that are performed by our JDC Associates are as follows:

Receiving - The receiving team work together to unload trailers and organize the boxes of product onto pallets.
Picking - Pickers follow instructions given to them via a handheld scanning computer and go to various "locations" throughout the warehouse to place product into cartons that are then shipped to customers and stores.
Replenishment - Replenishers refill the locations that Pickers take product from, ensuring there is enough product in each "location" to be able to send out every day.

Shipping - A shipper's job is to load trailer with product that will be going to our customers and stores.
