Job description

Columbia Vehicle Group is seeking hardworking Material Handlers. Material Handlers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders. The Material Handlers supports daily warehouse and logistics operations by receiving, tracking, storing, and preparing merchandise for shipment.

This role works closely with the Production Team to ensure materials and products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

3pm - 11:30am

  • Shift Premium of $1.00 on top of base pay for second shift employees
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to support warehouse and production operations
  • Receive, inspect, and track incoming shipments
  • Load merchandise onto delivery trucks using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Carefully handle and accommodate fragile merchandise
  • Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
  • Tag, label, and stock merchandise according to established warehouse assignments
  • Prepare and stage all orders for shipment
  • Record, manage, and report any impaired or damaged merchandise
  • Operate materialhandling equipment, including standup forklifts
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in inventory and logistics software systems
  • Assist the Production Team with forklift operations and other projects as needed
  • Follow all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Inspect and report any issues related to parts, tools, or processes
  • Skill Requirements:
  • Handson experience with inventory and logistics ERP programs
  • Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity
  • Teamoriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Good organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problemsolving ability
  • Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a standup forklift operator
  • Valid driver’s license required
